Mangaluru: Podar International School students shine in skating, chess tournaments

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Students of Podar International School, have brought laurels to the institution with their exceptional performances in state-level skating and chess competitions.

Shreshta P Shenoy, a grade 3 student, showcased her talent at the Karnataka State Ranking Roller Skating Championship 2025, organized by the Karnataka Roller Skating Association (affiliated to the Roller-Skating Federation of India). She bagged one silver and one bronze medal, making the school proud with her dedication and perseverance.

In another achievement, at the 8th KCA Trophy held on June 22, at Balambhat Hall, Mangaluru, two students emerged as shining stars in the chess arena. Vihaan Shetty of grade 7 secured 2nd place in both the Open Rapid and Age Category Blitz events, demonstrating remarkable strategic skills. Meanwhile, Bhavith P Shetty earned the 5th position in the under-9 category, adding another feather to the school’s cap.

The management and staff of Podar International School congratulated the young achievers and extended best wishes for their future endeavours.
