Mangaluru, Jul 22: The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated with great devotion and joy at St Mary's school on July 15 in Mother Veronica Hall. The day began with a grand welcome for our esteemed chief guest, Sr Silvian, the former dedicated headmistress, led by the school band and a traditional Aarathi at the entrance.

The students of class VI A and I B were in charge of the programme. A soulful prayer service set a reverent tone, followed by a charming welcome dance by the students. Ameena Lisha of class VI A formerly welcomed Sr Silvian the chief guest, Tr Veera the headmistress in charge, Sr Santhosh Mary the assistant headmistress, teachers and all students. The significance of the day was beautifully shared, reminding Mary’s love and protection. Students presented a meaningful skit on the virtues of Mother Mary, followed by vibrant dances dedicated to Our Lady.

The most heartwarming moment of the day was the speech by Sr Silvian our chief guest of the day. With her characteristic warmth and wisdom, she addressed the students and staff, with her words that touched every heart. She spoke about the power of faith, the beauty of Marian devotion, and the importance of carrying Mary’s virtues in our lives. Her speech left a lasting impression and inspired everyone present.

The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who have contributed to make the day so meaningful and memorable.

The programme was efficiently compered by Aleena, Fizan, Mohammed Zaheem, and Zareen of class VI A.
