As Poovari celebrates its 10th anniversary, this historic release took place during a grand celebration hosted by the Triangle Tuluvere Chauki under the umbrella of the Akhila America Tulu Angana (AATA), which represents around 18 Tulu associations across the US and Canada.

The launch event was graced by prominent guests including Dr Saigeetha Mangaluru from the renowned Agoli Manjanna family of Tulunad, Dr Ravi Shetty Moodambail (Qatar), Shekhar Naik (Connecticut), AATA founder Bhaskar Sherigar (Boston), AATA president Srivalli Rai Martel (Florida), Siri Parba coordinator Ranjani Asaigoli (North Carolina), Sudarshan Shetty (Canada), Umesh Asaigoli, Suresh Shetty, Dr Mohanachandra, Dr Belle Dinkar Rai (New York), Dr Rajendra Kedilaya, and Samuel Dragmore.

With over 20 million Tulu-speaking people globally and around 40 communities using Tulu as their mother tongue, the launch of a homegrown Tulu magazine on American soil is being hailed as a historic milestone. The event marks a proud moment as Poovari takes the culture, language, and pride of Tulunad to households across North America.
