Zirakpur, Jul 26: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by two unidentified men in a moving car near Metro Mall on VIP Road, Zirakpur, around 8 pm on July 23, police said on Friday.
The girl, who had just finished work at a salon, was waiting for an auto-rickshaw when the two accused reportedly forced her into a vehicle. They allegedly assaulted her during the drive and took her to a secluded area near Tribune Chowk in Chandigarh, where the sexual assault occurred. The accused also mentioned her brother's name during the act, the victim told police.
After committing the crime, the duo brought her back and left her at the same location from where she had been abducted.
Her mother later filed a complaint, following which Zirakpur police registered a case. An investigation is underway to trace and arrest the accused, officials confirmed.
