New Delhi, Jul 29: Amid the ongoing parliamentary debate on the government's counter-terror response under Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are slated to address the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, according to reliable sources within the government.

Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to speak between 12:00 and 1:00 pm, followed by Prime Minister Modi, who is likely to deliver his address later in the evening.

The Lok Sabha on Monday began deliberations on Operation Sindoor — India’s decisive response to the brutal April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 25 civilians. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh initiated the debate, detailing the strategic objectives and national intent behind the cross-border operation.

“The goal of Operation Sindoor was not territorial conquest, but a calculated move to dismantle the terror hubs in Pakistan,” Singh asserted, describing the mission as a pursuit of justice for families shattered by years of cross-border terror.

The Defence Minister strongly condemned Pakistan’s involvement, stating, “This is not random madness. It is a deliberate, well-orchestrated strategy fuelled by deep-rooted ideological rage.” He highlighted that the operation not only underscored India’s military might, but also showcased its unwavering political resolve and moral clarity.

“Those harbouring and aiding terrorism will be dealt with firmly. India will not succumb to any nuclear intimidation or geopolitical pressure,” Singh declared, reaffirming the government’s stance on national security.

With Shah and Modi’s statements expected to provide further clarity on the Centre’s approach, all eyes will be on Parliament today as the nation awaits its leadership’s address on one of the most significant anti-terror operations in recent years.
