London, Jul 29: In a bold move that blends vintage style with modern adventure spirit, British company Watsonian Sidecars has unveiled a custom-modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, complete with a rugged sidecar designed specifically for long-distance and off-road thrill seekers.
The customisation features Watsonian’s iconic ‘Grand Prix’ sidecar model — tailored to offer maximum luggage capacity and enhanced road endurance. Designed “for the adventurous,” the setup caters to bikers looking to go beyond conventional riding, with thoughtful additions aimed at rougher terrains and longer rides.
The Interceptor 650 has undergone several practical and aesthetic changes to match the robust sidecar. Outfitted with enduro tyres, a fly screen, handguards, and a headlight grille, the motorcycle now boasts a strong off-road personality. The entire ensemble comes in a striking Nardo Grey finish, complemented by custom black alloy beading, a screen surround, perimeter frame bumper, and a matching wheel rim.
Watsonian’s attention to detail extends beyond mere cosmetics. The sidecar comes equipped with twin 5-litre jerry cans mounted securely on the side frame — perfect for long-distance explorers. Additional upgrades include spotlights wired directly into the bike’s handlebar switchgear, a spacious front luggage rack, dual oversized rear luggage racks, and twin 12V sockets — one of which includes a map-reading light.
Comfort and functionality are not forgotten either, with a passenger grab rail and rugged block-pattern tyres rounding out the setup. Watsonian, a heritage name in sidecar manufacturing since 1912, allows customers to bring in their own motorcycles for custom pairing — making each combination unique to its rider’s taste and travel goals.
