Mangaluru, Aug 4: The fourth day of the novena was marked by a profound reflection on the theme "Love Completely Fulfils Hope."
The morning service began with adoration at 10:30 am, followed by the Holy Mass at 11:00 am celebrated by Fr Basil Vas, parish priest of Vorkady Parish. He was joined in concelebration by Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza - parish priest, Fr Lawrence Cutinha - assistant parish priest, and Fr Ravi Kumar, MSIJ.
In his homily, Fr Basil Vas emphasized that true hope finds its fulfillment in complete love. He reflected that love gives meaning to hope when we live selflessly, forgive wholeheartedly, and serve sincerely. St Lawrence lived this truth by giving everything to the poor, seeing Christ in them, and placing his unwavering hope in God. His love, rooted in sacrifice and service, continues to inspire us. When we serve with hope and love, just as St. Lawrence did, God blesses and transforms our lives.

The morning liturgy was led by the Shaktinagar and Bondel parishioners, with soulful hymns by the Angels Choir from Angelore.
The evening service began with adoration at 5:30 pm, followed by Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Peter Mascarenhas from Bejai, and concelebrated by Fr Peter Gonsalves, principal of St Lawrence English Medium School, Fr James Britto MSIJ.
In his homily, Fr Peter Mascarenhas reflected on the phrase, “Love—and do whatever you will, everything will fall into place.” He emphasized, "Without love, our actions lose meaning." He invited everyone to reflect: "What efforts do I make in my personal life to love others? Simple acts—like sharing what we have, helping those in need, being compassionate, and showing mercy—are everyday expressions of true love. Just like St Lawrence, let us love with hope, trusting that God works through even the smallest acts of love."
Special prayers were offered for all the youth, that they may grow in faith, love, and service. The evening liturgy was conducted by Nithyadar Nagar and Bondel parishioners, while the evening choir was beautifully led by the Nithyadar Nagar Parish Choir.
