Christ King students excel at taluk wrestling tournament, 14 qualify for district-level

Karkala, Aug 5: Students from Christ King English Medium Primary and High Schools, have achieved a remarkable feat at the taluk-level wrestling tournament organized jointly by the Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, and the Office of the Block Education Officer, Karkala, in association with Christ King Educational Institutions.

In a display of strength, skill, and determination, 14 students from the institution have qualified for the upcoming district-level wrestling competition, winning top honors in their respective categories.

From the primary section, Mohammad Atif, Preethi of grade 6, Mohammad Apraz, Mohammad Shabit, Manas, Mohammad Hisham Khan students from grade 7, Sakshit P Jain, Dhruvit from grade 8, In girls section Preethi of grade 6, Sadhvi Nayak of grade 7 and Sudhiksha of grade 8, secured gold medals and district-level qualification.

From the high school section, Rithu Francis, Sanvi M Nayak from grade 9, Rachel D’Souza, and Lenisha Mendonca from grade 10, won gold medals and qualified for the district level.  Additionally, Avani from grade 9 secured second place in her category, showcasing commendable effort.

The credit for their outstanding performance goes to their dedicated training under the guidance of physical education instructor Lavanya Shetty.

The school management congratulated all the winners and wished them success at the district-level meet.
