Brahmavar tragedy: Man drowns after slipping Into Seetha River while fishing

Brahmavar, Aug 12: A tragic incident occurred near the newly built bridge across the Seetha River at Kodi Kanyana, Kelakery, on Sunday, when a man accidentally slipped into the river while fishing and drowned.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh Waddarse (44), a resident of Kodi Kanyana. According to sources, Suresh had gone to the river to cast fishing nets when he reportedly lost his footing and fell into the water.

Family members stated that Suresh had been missing for two days. His mortal remains were recovered from the river on Monday after a search operation was carried out.

Police said preliminary findings indicate that the man slipped accidentally while engaged in fishing activities. There are no suspicious circumstances at this stage.

A case has been registered at the Kota police station and further investigation is underway.

Suresh is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
