Mangalore: Corporation Bank’s Net Profit Rises to Rs 1,154 Crore

Mangalore, Feb 3: Public sector Corporation Bank has earned net profit of Rs 1,154 crore for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2011, with year to year increase of 8.1 percent, whereas its total turnover rose to Rs 2,18,985 crore, registering an increase of 28.5 percent, said chairman and managing director of the bank, Ajai Kumar. He presented the unaudited results of the bank for the nine-month period, at the meeting of the board of directors held here on Thursday February 2.

He also stated that the operating profit of the bank during this period rose by 12.1 percent to touch Rs 2,102.47 crore this year.

The deposits of the bank have reached Rs 1,26,607 crore, an increase of 28.5 percent over the previous year, while advances have shown an increase of 28.4 percent to reach Rs 92,378 crore.  The number of customers of the bank has touched 1,37,19,000, number of branches has reached 1,431, and the number of ATMs stands at 1,262, he revealed.
