CSI Lombard Memorial Hospital, Udupi to organise blood donation camp on Aug 15

Udupi, Aug 13: CSI Lombard Memorial Hospital, Udupi is organising a blood donation camp on August 15, from 9.30 am to 1 pm, at Multi Purpose hall near School of Nursing Compound Mission Hospital, Udupi.

The camp is organised in association with Red Cross Blood Bank Kundapura, Red Cross Udupi Unit, Youth Red Cross, Udupi, Badagabettu Credit Co-Operative Society Udupi, Lions Club Chethana Udupi, Kala Kiran Club Bailoor Udupi, Udupi Runners Club (R) Udupi, Blood Help Care, Karnataka (R), Upendra Pai Memorial College, Kunjibettu Udupi.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and to meet the growing demand for blood in hospitals and emergency services. All eligible donors, including students, employees, and residents of the community, are encouraged to come forward and donate.

Donors must be between the ages of 18 to 65 years, weigh at least 50 kg, and be in good health. Each donor will undergo a basic health screening before donation.

Refreshments and certificates of appreciation will be provided to all participants.

Dr Sushil Jathanna, director of LMH, insists, “A single unit of blood can save up to three lives. We invite everyone to join us in this noble cause and make a difference.”

The camp will be conducted under the supervision of qualified medical professionals, and all necessary safety and hygiene protocols will be strictly followed.
