Mumbai, Aug 14: The Gopalakrishna Public Trust (GPT) is celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great fervour at the Shri Gopalakrishna Temple in the Gokul complex, Sion. The two-day festivities, to be held on Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16, will also feature the Vittal Pindi celebrations. This year, 108 varieties of laddus blessed by Lord Krishna have been prepared, offering devotees a rare opportunity to taste a wide range of delicacies, said GPT executive president-trustee Dr Suresh S Rao Katilu, trustee-secretary A P K Poti and honorary trustees.

Considering the high demand, the laddus will be offered at a nominal price, much lower than the actual cost, making them accessible to all devotees.

The 108 varieties include groundnut laddu, green gram laddu, cashew laddu, gram laddu, black sesame laddu, white sesame laddu, jaggery ball laddu, rava laddu, besan laddu, puffed rice laddu, dry ginger laddu, wheat flour laddu, poornapukklakki laddu, manohar laddu, motichoor laddu, double gram laddu, boondi laddu, gari laddu, Tirupati laddu, kharakaddi laddu, shev laddu, vermicelli laddu, almond laddu, pista laddu, almond-pista laddu, hazelnut laddu, chestnut laddu, uthutte laddu, date laddu, fig laddu, almond-fig laddu, cashew-date laddu, raisin laddu, seed laddu, dry fruit laddu, custard apple laddu, walnut laddu, poppy seed laddu, grated coconut laddu, coconut laddu, ragi flour laddu, urad flour laddu, rice flour laddu, maize flour laddu, wheat flour-gram laddu, rice laddu, pancharatna laddu, millet laddu, pigeon pea laddu, horse gram laddu, fried gram laddu, fenugreek seed laddu, black pepper laddu, white pepper laddu, rock sugar laddu, whole wheat laddu, whole urad laddu, black urad laddu, beaten rice laddu, red beaten rice laddu, beaten rice-wheat flour laddu, beaten rice-khova laddu, maize-beaten rice laddu, nendran banana laddu, apple laddu, guava laddu, strawberry laddu, sapota laddu, pineapple laddu, rose laddu, vanilla laddu, jamun laddu, mango laddu, kokum laddu, green apple laddu, shankarpali laddu, mohan laddu, nippattu laddu, papad laddu, sandige laddu, chakuli laddu, spicy kadubale laddu, sunflower seed laddu, pumpkin seed laddu, chinikayi laddu, kushmanda laddu, mint laddu, cucumber laddu, green pea laddu, potato laddu, yam laddu, neem leaf laddu, cocoa laddu, khova laddu, jamun laddu, halwa laddu, Dhanvantari laddu, Brahmi laddu, Trivikrama laddu, Keshava laddu, Murari laddu, Achyuta laddu, Ananta laddu, Sudarshana laddu, Dwaraka laddu, Mysuru laddu, Guruvayur laddu, and Mathura laddu.
