Mangaluru, Aug 15: The Kindergarten section of Carmel School, came alive with vibrant hues of saffron, white, and green as the young Carmelites celebrated Tricolor Day with great enthusiasm on August 14. The celebration aimed to sow the seeds of patriotism in little hearts and help them understand the meaning of Independence and the pride of being an Indian.
The tiny tots arrived in beautiful tricolor-themed outfits, radiating the colours of our national flag. Their snack boxes carried a patriotic twist too, filled with tricolor-themed treats, which they joyfully shared with their friends — a sweet reminder of unity and togetherness.

Teachers introduced the children to India’s national symbols, their stories, and the sacrifices behind the nation's freedom. Each classroom showcased colourful bulletin boards brimming with patriotic art, while teachers painted tiny flags on the children’s cheeks, adding sparkle to the festivities.
A special highlight of the day was the visit from our principal, Sr Roseveera AC, who brought an extra wave of encouragement and warmth. She visited every kindergarten classroom, inspired the children with her presence, shared positive vibes, and lovingly distributed sweets, making the day even more memorable.
The air rang with patriotic songs sung by the children with pride, and their creativity shone brightly during the flag coloring competition.
The day was a delightful blend of learning, joy, and national pride — a celebration that lit up young faces and deepened their love for the tricolour.
