Five killed as roof of Delhi Dargah collapses

New Delhi, Aug 15: Five people lost their lives after a portion of the roof of a dargah collapsed in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Friday evening.

The incident occurred at Dargah Sharif Patte Shah, situated within the 16th-century complex that houses Mughal emperor Humayun’s mausoleum. Visuals from the site showed part of the lime-green structure caved in, opening into the courtyard, as rescue teams worked to clear the debris.

Unconfirmed reports suggest 15-20 people, including the imam, were inside the dargah when the 25-30-year-old roof gave way. Authorities have cordoned off the area while rescue and relief operations continue.
