Mangaluru’s Wenlock becomes first govt hospital in Karnataka with buggy facility

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Aug 18: In a first-of-its-kind facility in the state, Wenlock Hospital has received a special ‘buggy’ ambulance, sponsored by MLC Ivan D’Souza under the MLA Local Area Development Fund.

The facility, unavailable in any other government hospital in Karnataka, will greatly benefit patients who need to be transported from one hospital building to another.

In cases where surgeries are conducted in the new building, patients often need to be shifted to the old building after a day or two. The buggy ambulance will also prove useful for taking patients to X-ray, CT, or MRI scans with ease.

District surgeons, hospital administrators, and all staff members expressed their gratitude to Ivan D’Souza for providing this facility, adding that it will be of immense help to patients.
