Gurugram, Aug 19: In a dramatic incident, a man sleeping inside his car outside a club in Gurugram’s Sector 29 was allegedly kidnapped and robbed of his vehicle by three youths in the early hours of Sunday, police said.

According to the complaint, the victim had returned to his car around 4.30 am after partying with friends and dozed off, when the trio entered the vehicle — one taking the front seat and two occupying the back. “They picked me up, threw me in the back seat, and started driving,” he told police. The accused later dumped him near a wine shop on NH-48 before fleeing with the car.

Based on the complaint, police swiftly registered an FIR and arrested the suspects — Taufiq (18) of Jharkhand, Akash (18) of Nuh district, and Ayush (18) of Rohtak. All three were residing in Indira Colony, Gurugram. Police said Akash and Ayush worked at a salon, while Taufiq ran a pan kiosk.

“They had planned to sell the car, but our team caught them before they could execute their plan,” a police spokesperson said. The stolen Maruti Swift, which had been rented by the complainant, has been recovered. Further investigation is underway.
