Mangaluru, Aug 21: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, is all set to host Aloysian Fest 2025, a one-day National-Level Fest for Pre-University students, on Monday, August 25, at 9:00 am at the LCRI Hall.
The fest will be inaugurated in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and proud alumni of the institution. The chief guest for the inauguration will be Dr Kanyana Sadashiv Shetty, renowned entrepreneur and industrialist, while the guest of honour will be Raj Deepak Shetty, acclaimed actor in Indian cinema. The programme will be presided over by Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).

This year’s fest will feature two major categories of events:
1. Festival of fests – 31 academic and creative events
• Arts: debate, paper painting, monologue, general quiz, fashion show
• Commerce: management roadies, business manager, business quiz, shark tank, brand mad-ads, best accountant, best management team, marketing, product launch, corporate walk
• science: science rangoli, science quiz, science standpoint, science puzzle, science escape room, science exhibition
• Commerce & science: gaming, coding, it manager, it expo, photography & Videography
• Open to all: cooking without fire, film-making, poster making, reel making, sports quiz, trashion
2. Cultural fest – 5 vibrant cultural events
Wealth out of waste, classical dance, face painting, mehendi, and theme-based dance.
with participation expected from around 1,500 students representing colleges across India, Aloysian fest 2025 promises to be a vibrant platform celebrating youth, creativity, and competition.
The valedictory programme will be held the same evening at 3:30 pm. The chief guest for the occasion will be Dr Francisca Tej, entrepreneur and managing director at Wisdom Education. The programme will be presided over by Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, SJ, rector of Aloysius Institutions.
Prizes for all the individual events will be distributed during the valedictory, along with trophies and cash awards. The best performing college will be honoured with overall winners and runners-up trophies in both the festival of fests and cultural fest categories.
