Vistaar 2025 sports fest kicks off at Srinivas University with enthusiastic participation

Mangaluru, Aug 21: The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka Campus, inaugurated Vistaar 2025 – Sports Fest on Thursday with vibrant participation from students across various streams. The fest, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), aimed to promote fitness, teamwork and inclusivity on campus.

The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean, SIAHS. Sports activities were coordinated by Savin K Vidyan. More than 300 students gathered at the Open Bhavan as the events commenced with great enthusiasm.

The first day featured chess, carroms and tug of war for both men and women. Matches were conducted in a fair and competitive spirit, with students displaying discipline, sportsmanship and determination.

In the men’s tug of war, Prime Gladiators secured first place followed by Halo Knights, Storm Chasers and Thunder Falcons. In the women’s category, Kairos emerged champions while Thunder Falcons and Samurai Spirits finished second and third respectively.

In chess, Parvathi A V of Kairos bagged the women’s title, while Venkatesh A of Samurai Spirits claimed top honours in the men’s section. Carroms witnessed Halo Knights’ Mamatha V and Adithya P.P emerge victorious, while Thunder Falcons secured the runners-up position.

The inaugural day of Vistaar 2025 set a lively tone for the days ahead, promoting wellness, unity and active campus life. Faculty leadership and enthusiastic student involvement ensured the event’s success, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development.
