Media Release

Borivli, Aug 26: Students of the Choir and Music Club from St Lawrence High School, Borivli West, participated in a Music Internship Programme at the prestigious Furtados School of Music, Bandra West, on August 25. The event was designed to expose young musicians to professional training, techniques, and career opportunities in the field of music.

Senior music educators from Furtados conducted interactive sessions, introducing students to the fundamentals of music theory, notation, and techniques for playing western instruments such as the Acoustic Piano, Guitar, and Drums. Students also toured the institute’s classrooms and practice studios, experiencing firsthand the environment of professional music training.

A lively question-and-answer session kept the students engaged, while Shrutika Dodke, executive – Events & Operations, shared valuable insights on the skills required for event management in music and concerts.

This initiative aligns with the vision of the Ryan Group of Institutions, under the mentorship of founder chairman Dr A F Pinto and managing director Dr Grace Pinto, to provide skill-based education and real-world exposure, encouraging students to explore diverse career paths.

All participants received digital certificates for successfully completing the internship in instrumental music and vocal training.
