Mangaluru, Aug 28: Metilda Veronica Pais, assistant professor, School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, has been awarded the degree of PhD for her thesis titled 'Financial literacy and its impact on savings and investments of rural households in Dakshina Kannada district' by Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri.
She carried out her research under the successful guidance of professor Anasuya Rai, principal I/C (Retd), University College, Mangaluru.
She is the proud daughter of Paul Pais and Cicilia Lobo from Perde, Punjalkatte, and the wife of Dr Ashwin Loyal Mendonca from Bejai, Mangaluru.
