Mangaluru, Aug 28: A tragic accident occurred at Talapady on Thursday afternoon when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus, on its way to Mangaluru from Kasargod, lost control after its brakes reportedly failed and rammed into a bus shelter.

The incident took place around 1.30 pm. Four people waiting at the bus stop lost their lives on the spot. Police confirmed that the deceased, who included three women and one man, were all from the same family. In addition, a child also lost its life. Some of them were seated inside an auto-rickshaw parked near the shelter at the time of the accident.

In addition, seven people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

    Moron! Couple of months ago Air India flight crashed in Gujarat, killing almost 300 people. Which freebies were the reason for that? After all, government collects taxes and gives them back to us in another form. So getting our money back, is freebie? Get well soon man!

    Bus maintenance is difficult due to poor maintenance due to freebies I feel. Buses needed regular checks for safety measures like brakes 5 lives lost Feeling sad
