Mumbai, Aug 29: The historic Habib Hospital at Dongri, run by the Habib Esmail Hospital & Medical Trust, has completed a remarkable 90 years of service. To commemorate this milestone — and in conjunction with the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad on September 5, which also coincides with Teachers’ Day and the Ganesh Festival — the hospital has announced a free cardiac health camp from September 5 to 15, 2025.

The camp, to be held at the newly renovated and upgraded hospital, will provide free consultations, diagnostic facilities, and access to world-class cardiac care. Speaking on the occasion, Trust Chairman Javed Shroff, along with trustees and the medical director, reiterated the institution’s enduring commitment to equality in healthcare and service to humanity.

Under the stewardship of the present leadership, Habib Hospital has undergone a major transformation, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent inauguration of a modern Cath Lab and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) was attended by prominent religious scholars Maulana Aijaz Kashmiri and Maulana Mahmood Daryabadi, social leaders such as Haji Farid Shaikh of the Aman Committee, Salim Alware, and political dignitaries including MP Arvind Sawant and former minister Arif Naseem Khan.

They paid rich tributes to the management and medical team for their relentless service. With advanced facilities now in place for angiographies, angioplasties, and open-heart surgeries, the hospital has emerged as a beacon of hope for patients in Mumbai and beyond.

Chairman Javed Shroff expressed, “With state-of-the-art cardiac care now fully operational, we invite everyone to take benefit of this free cardiac camp — an initiative rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and service.”

A notable achievement in this transformative phase is the successful implementation of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY), benefiting Orange, Yellow, and White ration card holders. Efforts are also underway to implement Ayushman Bharat, ensuring wider healthcare access for the underprivileged.

The milestone reflects the Trust’s vision of combining modern medical excellence with humanitarian values, a legacy carried forward with conviction for nine decades.
