New Delhi, Sep 2: A day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi warned of dropping a “hydrogen bomb” of revelations in his ‘vote chori’ charge, the ruling BJP has countered by alleging that senior Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera holds two active voter ID numbers.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared copies of electoral rolls from New Delhi and Jangpura Assembly constituencies, claiming Khera has two active EPIC numbers. He accused the Congress of being the “quintessential vote chor” and demanded an Election Commission probe into whether Khera voted multiple times, terming it a violation of electoral law.

“Rahul Gandhi screamed vote chori, but just like he forgot his mother Sonia Gandhi enrolled in the voter list before being a citizen, now his close aide Pawan Khera is found holding dual voter IDs,” Malviya said in a post on X. He also accused Congress of misleading voters and undermining the electoral process.
Congress sources responded that Khera had applied to surrender his old voter card while registering in Jangpura and would issue a formal clarification shortly.
The attack came after Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a rally with ally Tejashwi Yadav, warned BJP leaders of an imminent “hydrogen bomb” of revelations linked to alleged voter fraud. The Congress has accused the ruling party and the Election Commission of colluding to manipulate electoral rolls, charges both have strongly denied.
