Cupertino, Sep 9: Apple is all set to host its much-anticipated ‘Awe Dropping Event’ today at the steve jobs theater in Apple Park, cupertino. Last month, CEO Tim Cook had teased the launch with a logo styled like a thermal camera image, dubbing it an “awe dropping event.” While Apple has kept most details under wraps, leaks and rumours have already sparked excitement around the event.
The spotlight is on the iPhone 17 series, which is expected to debut at the event. Reports suggest Apple will introduce four new models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 pro, iPhone 17 pro max, and iPhone 17 Air. The standard iPhone 17 is likely to feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz display with iterative design updates. The iPhone 17 pro may bring a sleeker design, horizontal camera bar, and lighter aluminium build, while the Pro Max is rumoured to have a larger 5,500mAh battery and a rectangular triple-camera module. The iPhone 17 Air could mark a fresh artistic direction for Apple, sporting an ultra-slim 5.5mm design, a 6.6-inch display, and a single rear camera.
Pro models are expected to showcase a rectangular camera bump, possibly including a 48-megapixel sensor with telephoto zoom, while both front and rear cameras may receive upgrades. Rumoured colours for the iPhone 17 series include Black, White, Grey, Dark Blue, and Orange.
In addition to the iPhone, Apple is likely to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11, which may feature improved health monitoring and better battery life. The Apple watch ultra 3 could come with faster charging, satellite support, 5G connectivity, and a larger screen. AirPods Pro 3 are also expected to launch with a new design, improved specifications, and active noise cancellation. There may also be updates related to Apple Intelligence.
The event begins at 10:30 PM IST in India and can be watched via Apple’s official website, Apple TV app, and Apple’s YouTube channel. Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series are expected to start on September 12, with availability from September 19.
