Those not proud of Ram Mandir cannot be true Indians: Yogi

Gorakhpur, Sep 10: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that if someone does not feel proud seeing the grand Ram Mandir at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, their being Indian itself is doubtful.

He was speaking at the weekly tribute ceremony marking the 56th death anniversary of Mahant Digvijaynath and the 11th death anniversary of Mahant Avaidyanath at Gorakhnath temple premises.

“Today, who in India would not feel proud seeing the grand temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya? If someone does not, then their being Indian itself is doubtful,” Adityanath said.

He recalled that Mahant Digvijaynath had resolved to remove symbols of slavery and dreamt of building a Ram Mandir by removing the disputed structure. “That dream of both Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avaidyanath has now been fulfilled,” he said.

Quoting Sanskrit, the Chief Minister underlined that every individual has potential and only needs the right guidance. He praised the two late mahants for their dedication and sacrifice, saying they guided society and the nation through Sanatan Dharma.

“When a true saint takes a vow, its results are bound to be seen. The Ram Mandir stands as a testimony to their determination and struggle,” Adityanath added.
