Mangaluru, Sep 11: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, hosted its much-awaited Freshers’ Day celebration, ‘Udgham,’ on September 9. The event brought together students from BBA Aviation Management, BBA Aviation & Logistics Management, BBA Aviation, Travel & Tourism Management, and MBA Aviation Management, who actively participated in the vibrant programme.

It marked the official welcome of the new batch of students by their seniors, with a day filled with cultural performances, engaging activities, and warm interactions. The celebration was conducted under the esteemed guidance and support of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies. Anjana T V, head of the department, Pratheeksha Shetty, cultural coordinator, Prajnesh and Prapthi, student cultural coordinators and all faculty members and staffs of the Institute of Aviation Studies.

One of the major highlights of the event was the impressive lineup of cultural performances, which included a total of 44 performance, showcasing the immense talent of the students. The programme commenced with a semi-classical dance performance. As the day progressed, the spotlight turned to the freshers, who actively showcased their talents through singing, dancing. In addition, various games and interactive sessions were organized for the freshers, adding to the fun and promoting togetherness among the students.

The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the freshers reflected their excitement to be part of the aviation community. The ‘Udgham’ Freshers’ Day celebration was a resounding success, leaving cherished memories for everyone involved and setting a spirited and encouraging tone for the academic year ahead.
