SMVITM students secure First Prize in State-Level Line follower competition

Udupi, Sep 12: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, is proud to announce that its students — Kaushik A, Manvith M P and K S Raveesha Padmashali have secured the First Prize in the prestigious Line Follower competition at Roborage 2K25.

The event was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Davangere, in association with Abeyantrix Edusoft LLP, and was held on 10th September 2025 at BIET. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from engineering students across the state, providing a platform to showcase their talent in robotics and innovation.

Amidst intense competition, the SMVITM team displayed exceptional technical expertise, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, earning them the First Prize with a cash award of Rs 20,000.

This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, innovative spirit, and technical excellence of SMVITM students, while also highlighting the continuous encouragement and mentorship provided by the faculty of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The Management, Principal, and Faculty of SMVITM extend their heartiest congratulations to the winning team and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
