Man gets five years jail for sexually assaulting minor boy in Gurugram

Gurugram, Sep 14: A Gurugram court has sentenced a man to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor boy three years ago.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Jasmine Sharma on Friday convicted Prem Chand, a resident of Khandwa village in Rajasthan’s Churu district, and also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the boy’s father lodged a complaint on May 23, 2022, alleging that the accused had threatened to kill the child and sexually assaulted him. An FIR was registered at Sector 29 police station and Prem Chand was arrested the same day.

“After hearing both sides, the court convicted the accused and sentenced him to five years of imprisonment and imposed a fine,” a Gurugram police spokesperson said.
