Patna, Sep 15: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Monday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, demanding immediate action against urban development and housing minister Jibesh Mishra for allegedly assaulting a journalist.
Addressing a press meet in Patna, Tejashwi played a video purportedly showing Mishra misbehaving with a journalist who had questioned the poor condition of roads in his constituency. He further alleged that Mishra has already been found guilty in a fake medicines case.

“The minister has committed a serious crime while holding office. He has also been convicted in a fake drug case. Yet no action has been taken,” Tejashwi charged, adding that the journalist—belonging to a backward community—was beaten and abused simply for asking a question.
Questioning the silence of both the CM and PM, the former deputy chief minister said, “There is complete anarchy in Bihar. Was the situation like this before 2005? Does the CM know the minister stands guilty in a fake drug case?”
Taking a swipe at PM Modi, who visited Bihar the same day, Tejashwi asked whether the assaulted journalist “does not have a mother or sister,” and whether the PM would ensure justice and the minister’s removal.
Multiple videos of the incident have gone viral, with the journalist heard saying, “No matter what, I will continue to ask questions. Nobody can stop me, neither politicians nor the administration. If asking questions is wrong, no one should educate their children.”
