Mangaluru: Srinivas University hosts ‘Aarambh 2K25’ to welcome freshers

Mangaluru, Sep 21: The Institute of Computer Science & Information Sciences, Srinivas University, extended a grand welcome to its new batch of students by organising Aarambh – Freshers’ Day 2K25 at the New Campus Auditorium on Wednesday, September 17.

The programme was aimed at easing the freshers’ transition into university life, familiarizing them with the institution’s culture, and encouraging healthy interactions with seniors and faculty members.

The celebration commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony graced by dean Dr Subrahmanya Bhat, HoD Dr P Sridhara Acharya, MCA HoD Prof Swati Kumari, cultural coordinators, faculty members, and senior students. The dignitaries lit the traditional lamp, marking the pursuit of knowledge and new beginnings. A prayer song followed, setting a serene atmosphere in the auditorium.

In their addresses, the guests welcomed the new students with motivating words, urging them to embrace academic life with enthusiasm and make the best of the opportunities ahead.

Post the formalities, the stage turned vibrant with cultural performances presented by the senior students. Musical renditions and soulful singing enthralled the gathering, while energetic dance performances added a lively touch to the evening.

Fun games organised exclusively for the freshers became the highlight of the day, creating laughter, joy, and a spirit of camaraderie among juniors and seniors alike.

The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving the newcomers feeling welcomed, encouraged, and connected to the Srinivas University family.
