Mangalore: Woman Killed, Two Seriously Injured in Accident

Mangalore, Feb 9: After a goods tempo hit three pedestrians opposite Deepak petrol bunk in Bykampady here on Wednesday February 8, one of them died, while two others suffered serious injuries.

It is learnt that Susheela, Sulochana and Divya, working for an industrial unit in the area, were walking towards their workplace, when a good tempo, which came from the direction of Bykampady Industrial Area at high speed, hit them. All the three fell on to the road because of the impact of the collision, and suffered grave injuries. Although they were immediately taken to the nearby port trust hospital and provided with medical aid, Susheela, who had suffered deep wounds to her head, succumbed.

Both Sulochana and Divya have suffered fractures. Both of them were shifted to a private hospital in the city. Driver of the tempo sped away from the spot.
