Bhatkal: Two Injured in Bike-Lorry Collision

Bhatkal, Feb 9: Two persons were critically injured in an accident that took place on near Gulmi cross on national highway 17 here on Thursday February 9 at around 12 pm.

The accident occured when the bike they were riding collided with a lorry.

The injured have been identified as Mohammed Rafiq (29) who was riding the bike, and Mustafa (28).

Rafiq was saved from head injuries as he was wearing helmet, but received severe injuries on his legs. Mustafa who was riding pillion sustained serious head injuries and his condition is said to be critical.

The injured were rushed to the government hospital and later shifted to Kundapur.

Police arrived at the spot and registered a case against the lorry driver.
