Karkala: National Hindi Day celebrated at Christ King Institutions

Karkala, Sep 23: National Hindi Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Christ King Educational Institutions, Karkala.

Dr Devaki Prasanna G S, assistant professor of Hindi at Alva’s College, Moodbidri, was the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Devaki said, “Every language has its own significance. Mastery of a language builds self-confidence. Proficiency in Hindi helps one understand India better.” She also elaborated on the unique aspects of Hindi grammar.

The event was presided over by the institution’s vice principal, Dr Prakash Bhat, who in his presidential address remarked, “Learning any language proves helpful during crucial moments in life.”

Hindi lecturer Shameena Ameer gave the introductory note, while student Brovin Agera introduced the guests. Student Sudhiksha delivered the welcome address, Sleta Premal Fernandes compered the event, and Shanwitha proposed the vote of thanks.

Christ King Primary School headmaster Rudolf Kishore Lobo, administrator Kiran Crasta, and Hindi lecturer Shahina Banu were present on the dais.
