Making wine in a limited quantity for self use would not have attracted legal action. When producing alcohol or beverages on a mass scale is is illegal.

Police are incompetent in other fields but quick in arresting poor people. In Goa producing liquor is legal and why not in Karnataka??? Liquor tax money is going into the pickets of few politicians and not for the public development work. For example, potholes filled roads in Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka.
