Patna, Oct 1: The final voter list for all 14 Assembly constituencies in Patna district has been released following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) directed by the Election Commission of India. The updated rolls put the total number of eligible voters in the district at 48,15,294.
This final tally includes 46,51,694 voters from the draft list published on August 1, along with 1,63,600 newly added voters who registered after that date.

Gender Breakdown
Out of the total voters:
• 25,40,363 are male
• 22,74,774 are female
• 157 are third-gender voters
In comparison, during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Patna had 49,01,176 voters, with slightly higher numbers across all categories.
District Magistrate and District Election Officer Tyagarajan S.M. clarified that the slight drop in total voters was due to the removal of names owing to deaths, permanent relocations, and duplicate entries across multiple constituencies.
Constituency-Wise Highlights
• Digha remains the largest constituency with 4,56,448 voters, including 2,38,689 males, 2,17,739 females, and 20 third-gender voters.
• Paliganj has the lowest voter count at 2,83,537, with 1,49,721 male voters, 1,33,815 female voters, and just one third-gender voter.

Voter Awareness Campaign
To boost electoral participation, the Election Commission has launched an extensive awareness campaign in Patna. The drive aims to ensure no eligible citizen is left out of the rolls and to encourage higher voter turnout in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Final voter lists—both digital and printed versions—have been distributed to representatives of all recognised political parties to maintain transparency and preparedness ahead of the polls.
