Kota, Oct 2: In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old student from Delhi was found hanging in his paying guest (PG) accommodation in Kota on Wednesday evening. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The incident came to light in Sector 2 under the jurisdiction of Vigyan Nagar police station. Acting on information, the police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary. “The post-mortem will be conducted once the family members of the deceased arrive,” said DSP Lokendra Paliwal.

The deceased has been identified as Lucky Choudhary, who was reportedly studying at a local coaching institute until last year. However, his current status as a student is yet to be confirmed, the officer added.

According to police, the room was locked from inside, forcing them to break it open. The exact reason behind Choudhary’s death remains unclear, and further investigation is underway.

The incident has once again cast a shadow over Kota, a city known as the hub of coaching institutes, where student suicides have been a growing concern.
