Beltangady, Oct 9: The 99th death anniversary thanksgiving eucharist of Fr Faustine Cortie, the pioneer of Naravi, was celebrated with deep devotion and gratitude at Naravi Church on Thursday, October 9.

Fr Faustine Lobo, director of Fr Muller Charitable Institutions, Mangaluru, was the main celebrant of the solemn eucharistic celebration. In his inspiring homily, Fr Lobo fondly recalled the missionary zeal and dedication of Fr Faustine Cortie, who served the people of Naravi with great faith and commitment nearly a century ago. He urged the faithful to imbibe and continue the same missionary spirit in their lives today.

The priests of Belthangady Deanery concelebrated the Holy Mass, joined by a large gathering of the faithful who participated prayerfully in the thanksgiving celebration.

After the eucharistic celebration, the priests and faithful visited the Fr Faustine Cortie Museum, where they offered flowers at his statue as a mark of love and respect. The Naravi Band added joy and solemnity to the occasion with their melodious performance.

The event concluded with a fellowship breakfast served to all the attendees, fostering a spirit of unity and gratitude among the participants.
