Udupi: Case filed against SDPI leader Riyaz Kadambu for hate speech

Udupi, Oct 10: SDPI state secretary Riyaz Kadambu has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days in connection with a hate speech case registered at Udupi Town police station.

Udupi SP Hariram Shankar stated that the court ordered judicial custody after Riyaz Kadambu was found to have violated the conditions of his bail.

The case was registered following a hate speech made by Riyaz Kadambu in relation to a cattle head recovery incident reported near Kunjalu in Brahmavar taluk.

During his speech, he allegedly accused members of a particular group of being involved in systematic acts of communal provocation.
