Mangaluru: St Agnes Special School holds annual camp – Scouts & Guides, Bulbuls & Cubs

Mangaluru, Oct 18: The annual camp of Scouts and Guides, Bulbuls and cubs was held on October 15 and 16 in St Agnes Special School premises. They gathered on October 15 and had their activities such as Shramadhan, camp fire and fun games.

The formal inauguration was held on the October 16. B M Thumbe – scout commissioner DK district, K Vasanth Rao - president - Scouts and Guides Dakshina Kannada, Sr Marie Christine – director – St Agnes Vocational Training Centre, Joyce D’Souza, vice president, Parent Teacher Association and Sr Shruthi - principal, St Agnes Special School were present.

After the inauguration, the kit inspection was held. Thereafter the activities such as cooking without fire, adventurous games, kite preparations etc were held. The staff of District Hospital Mangaluru gave a session on First Aid demonstration and other safety measures in times of emergency.

The camp ended at 3 pm. The principal Sr Maria Shruthi lowered the flag and congratulated the staff and the students for taking part in all the activities actively and wholeheartedly. The scout masters Prakash and Narayan, guide captain Reena, flock leader Sr Thejaswi and lady cub masters Marcelline and Mamatha conducted the camp successfully.
