Mangaluru, Oct 18: SJEC women’s athletic team secured II runner up and SJEC men’s athletic team secured III runners up in the VTU state-level Cross Country Championship organised by SJMIT, Chitradurga on October 16 and 17. The teams showcased remarkable skill and determination under the guidance of Vaneesha V Rodrigues, physical education director (PED), and Sudheer, assistant PED.
The winning squads featured talented players from UG programs:
Women’s Team: Thanvi S (III Sem ECE), Earl Dsouza (V Sem ECE), G J Chithara Hirinja (V Sem ECE), Jia Menezes (V Sem CSE), Dhrathi (V Sem ME)
Men’s Team: Gagan G Bajpe (III Sem ME), Yogesh A C (III Sem ME), Shreepathi (III Sem ME), Akshay Gabrieal R (V Sem CSE), Pruthvi G V (V Sem CSE), Shashank S (V Sem ME)
