Mangaluru, Oct 21: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised the Graduation Day and Jyothi Pradhan Ceremony for its outgoing MBA 25th batch students (2023-2025) on Friday, October 17, at the institute's campus in Bondel. Prakash Rao Kalbavi, managing director, Kalbavi Consumer Foods Pvt Ltd, was the chief guest, and Manel Annappa Nayak, president of the Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided. The institute’s director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri and correspondent Ajith Kamath were present. As many as 90 outgoing MBA graduates celebrated their course completion.
In his address, Prakash Rao Kalbavi congratulated the graduating students and described the occasion as the beginning of a new journey into the ‘University of Life’. He urged students to remain committed and adaptable, stating, “Learning is a lifelong journey. Those who adapt will rise, while those who fail will fade.” He advised them to take calculated risks and move beyond their comfort zones, reminding that there are no shortcuts to success. “We are not only powering India, but also powering the world,” he said.


















Ajith Kamath, correspondent of MSNIM, shared practical insights with the graduates. Highlighting the concept of opportunity cost, he urged students to reflect carefully before taking important life decisions. “You make the choice, and the choice makes you,” he said.
In his presidential address, Manel Annappa Nayak observed that the knowledge and values imparted by the institution would continue to guide the graduates throughout their lives, shaping them into responsible and capable contributors to society.
The Graduation Ceremony commenced with the traditional Jyothi Pradhan ceremony, where faculty members oiled the lamp, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the students. The programme coordinator, assistant professor Divya Achar introduced Jyothi Pradhan ceremony and assistant professor Manasa administered the MBA oath.
K V Raghava Kamath, joint correspondent, MSNIM, B Ganesh Krishna Bhat, member, WNES and Dr Parashuram Malagi, principal, Besant Evening College were also present.
Assistant professor Nanditha Sunil gave the welcome address and introduction. Assistant professor Dr Aditi Kamath gave the vote of thanks. Associate professor Dr Shilpi Saha anchored the programme.
