Sattari, Oct 21: Tensions flared late on Diwali eve in Sattari after a noise complaint over loud music during Narkasur festivities at the Honda police outpost escalated into violence.

According to reports, a mob of around 300–400 people allegedly attacked the complainant’s residence and set their car ablaze in retaliation. Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage to identify those involved in the incident.

The violent episode has sparked concern over public safety during festive celebrations, underscoring the challenges faced by law enforcement in maintaining order amid large and unruly gatherings.
