Mangaluru: Bar quarrel turns violent in Surathkal; two stabbed, police identify four accused

Mangaluru, Oct 24: A minor dispute at Deepak Bar in Surathkal escalated into a stabbing incident late on Thursday night, leaving two men injured.

The victims, identified as Mukshid and Nizam, were part of a group of five who had gone to the bar for alcohol. An altercation broke out with another group led by accused rowdies Gururaj, Alex Santosh, Shushanth, and Nitin. During the confrontation, both Mukshid and Nizam were stabbed. Nizam was stabbed in the stomach, while Mukshid sustained an injury to his hand. They have been hospitalized and are reported to have narrowly escaped life-threatening injuries.

Mangaluru police have identified all four accused and have formed four teams under police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy to apprehend them.
