Bantwal: Driver goes missing after parking auto-rickshaw on bridge

Bantwal, Oct 29: A man has gone missing after parking his auto-rickshaw on the old Panemangalore bridge on Wednesday, October 29. It is suspected that he may have jumped into the Netravati river.

The missing person has been identified as Pritam Lobo, a resident of Marnabail. Around 8 am, he reportedly parked his electric auto-rickshaw on the old Panemangalore bridge and went missing soon after. Locals, noticing the unattended vehicle, informed the police.

A photo of the rickshaw has since been circulating on social media. Residents suspect that he might have jumped into the river. Meanwhile, Bantwal Town police and fire and emergency services personnel have launched a search operation in the Netravati River.
