Clarke Sets Season's Fastest Time in 60m

Paris, Feb 15 (IANS): Jamaican sprinter Lerone Clarke clocked the fastest 60-meter time in the current season Tuesday - at the Lievin indoor meet in France.

The Commonwealth Games champion timed 6.5 seconds to win the race, finishing clear of France's European 100m champion Christophe Lemaitre by 0.07 seconds.

Lemaitre failed to better his personal best of 6.55 seconds.

Mickael Frater, also from Jamaica, finished third at 6.62, Xinhua reports.
