Beltangady: Bike rider succumbs after car collision near Kanyadi

Beltangady, Oct 30: A tragic accident claimed the life of a bike rider after a car collision near Seva Dhama at Kanyadi on the Ujire–Dharmasthala road on Wednesday, October 29.

The deceased has been identified as Chandrhasa (28), son of Gangayya from Hodikkaru in Navoor village. He was seriously injured when a car coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with his bike while he was on his way to work in Dharmasthala on Wednesday morning.

Employed in tile installation work, Chandrhasa sustained severe head and leg injuries in the accident. He was initially rushed to a hospital in Ujire and later shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A case has been registered at the Beltangady traffic police station in connection with the incident.

Chandrhasa was the only son of his aged parents and had two married sisters. Unmarried himself, he was the main breadwinner of the family. His untimely demise has left the family devastated, losing their sole source of support.
