Mangaluru, Oct 30: The PG departments of the School of Information Science and Technology, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) AIMIT centre, organised the inaugural function of SACAIM 2025 – an international conference on advanced IT, engineering, and management on October 30. The event witnessed an atmosphere of academic enthusiasm and intellectual exchange.
The ceremony began with an invocation and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr Hemalatha N, dean of SIST welcomed the gathering, followed by an introduction of the chief guest, Prof Dr Vaishali Sreejith, RGUHS senate member and vice principal, M V Shetty College of Allied Health Sciences. In her address, she inspired participants to embrace innovation and creativity in their academic journey.




Dr Fr Kiran Cotha SJ, director of AIMIT Centre, delivered the presidential address, emphasising the importance of research and critical thinking in shaping future leaders. The vote of thanks was proposed by Gana, organising secretary.
The event also featured a keynote address by Dr Rohini R Rao, associate professor, Manipal Institute of Technology, who shared insights into emerging trends in data science.
