Patna, Oct 31: As Bihar gears up for the first phase of the 2025 Assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday released its election manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra’, promising massive employment generation, women empowerment, and unprecedented infrastructure development across the state.

The manifesto was unveiled in Patna by BJP national president J P Nadda and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in the presence of senior NDA leaders.

Among the highlights of the manifesto is the creation of 1 crore government jobs, a move the NDA claims will curb large-scale migration from Bihar. The alliance also announced plans to conduct a comprehensive skill census to ensure every youth in the state gets skill-based employment. The manifesto further promised to set up Mega Skill Centres in every district, with the vision of transforming Bihar into a “global skill hub.”

In a strong push toward women empowerment, the NDA announced its goal of making 1 crore women ‘Lakhpati Didis’—financially independent and self-reliant. Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, eligible women will receive financial aid of up to ?2 lakh to start small businesses or boost existing ones.

The manifesto also places a strong emphasis on infrastructure expansion, pledging to build four new international airports and seven expressways across Bihar, which the alliance believes will open new avenues for investment, trade, and tourism.

Addressing the gathering, J P Nadda said the manifesto reflects the NDA’s commitment to creating a “prosperous and progressive Bihar,” while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar emphasized that the alliance’s focus remains on “employment, empowerment, and development.”

With this ambitious Sankalp Patra, the NDA aims to reinforce its development-driven narrative as Bihar heads into a crucial electoral battle next week.
