Mangaluru: Man arrested for sexual assault on minor; remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Nov 1: A case has been registered at the Dakshina Kannada women’s police station (Crime No. 80/2025) against a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl.

The accused, identified as Abdul Hanif, allegedly forced himself on the victim. Based on the complaint, a case has been filed under Sections 64(2)(f)(m) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, and Sections 5(l)(n) and 6 of the POCSO Act.

The police have arrested the accused and produced him before the court. The court has remanded him to judicial custody.
