69th State Formation Day celebration at Expert College, Valachil

Mangaluru, Nov 1: Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of Expert College, Valachil, unfurled the Kannada flag and offered floral tributes to Kannada Bhuvaneshwari.

"The responsibility of preserving and promoting Kannada lies in the hands of students. It is possible to save Kannada by reading Kannada newspapers and books," said Shyam Prasad, member, academic committee & senior lecturer, Expert College, Valachil, Mangaluru, speaking at the 69th State Formation Day celebration Karnataka Rajyotsava’ organised by the college.

He added, "There are excellent books in Kannada, and movies that are appreciated globally are being made. These are rays of hope that inspire us to feel optimistic about Kannada. When Kannadigas achieve something that no one else has, it instills a sense of pride in the language. Our mother tongue, Kannada, helps us make the right decisions in life."

During the event, vice principals Subramanya Udupi (academic) and Dhriti V Hegde (administration), Gurudath N, coaching head, Balakrishna Shetty, member, academic committee, Anita P Shetty, chief resident mentor, Nikitha Amin, cultural programme coordinator, Ashwil Karkera, administrative officer, Sadhvi Ashok, programme director, Vipula B Shetty, head of Kannada department were present.
